ForestOverlay is a speedrun and practice tool for The Forest, built as a BepInEx plugin. It is early but usable and actively developed.
In game it shows velocity, live per-item inventory counts, 100% tracking and timed practice runs with checkpoints and ghost deltas against your best. Each endgame cutscene gets its own split trigger. Practice-only features such as saved spots, timed segments and savestates flag the session when used.
The website at forest.deter.cloud lists practice spots and everyone's runs of them, with lines, ghosts and splits recorded by ForestOverlay, plus a compare view.
