Why it exists

Indistocks is a cross-platform desktop application for viewing and analysing historical data for Indian stocks from the National Stock Exchange. Built with Rust and egui, it runs natively on Linux, Windows and macOS and keeps all data local, with no cloud dependencies. It manages the NSE stock list with ISIN mapping, downloads BhavCopy archives automatically, and presents a virtual-scrolling grid with filtering, configurable date ranges and colour-coded changes. This looks aimed at Indian retail traders wanting offline analysis without cloud dependency. Since it's built with Rust and egui, I'd want to know which platforms have been packaged for release (Windows, macOS, Linux) and how large historical NSE datasets are handled locally, whether the app stores everything in a local database or re-downloads on each session, and how it manages data updates as markets change.
