Why it exists

SlopOS is a hobby operating system, written in Rust and, in its makers' telling, fully designed and written by AI agents. The story goes that three kernel wizards, shipwrecked on the island of Sloptopia, built an OS that boots when the Wheel of Fate allows it: win the spin and you enter the shell, lose and you reboot and try again. It is a deliberately playful showcase of building with heavy AI assistance.

The Wheel of Fate mechanic is an interesting twist for a hobby OS project. Before trying to run it, I'd want to know what determines the wheel's outcome, is it purely random on each boot, or does it factor in prior boot state or configuration? Also, does it ever land on a genuine boot failure by design, or always eventually reach the shell?
