A weekend project to see how polished a chess game could be vibe coded in a single weekend. Play against Stockfish or a friend on the same device, in a pirate skin with music, sound effects, character voices and speech bubbles.
It is built with SvelteKit, runs entirely in the browser, and is playable on a phone. The repo's SPEC.md holds the full specification and the decisions made along the way.
Chess rules come from chess.js and the engine is stockfish.js. Graphics were made with ChatGPT, music with Suno and sound effects with ElevenLabs.
