Why it exists

Math Train (数数小火车) is a playful maths-practice app for young children, roughly ages four to seven. Each journey is a short set of addition or subtraction problems within 20, wrapped in a friendly train theme with stars, stamps and a mistakes notebook to revisit. It works offline and lets a grown-up tune the difficulty. The interface is in Chinese.

Downloaded this for my 6-year-old on a job site with no wifi, and the offline part actually works, unlike a couple other counting apps I've tried that stall out waiting to sync progress. The addition and subtraction within 20 stays at a pace she can follow instead of jumping ahead. Simple train theme, nothing flashy, but she asks for it over the flashcards app we used before.
