Farm Invaders
Space Invaders with flying saucers after a cow, and a chicken in a space helmet defending it with eggs. Plays in the browser.
Space Invaders, except the invaders are flying saucers with enormous windscreens and the defender is a chicken in a space helmet, armed with eggs.
A run opens with a mothership demanding "Give us the cow now!" and the hen squawking back "Never!". The cow stands on the ground behind her the whole time. If she runs out of lives, a mothership puts a tractor beam on the cow and takes it. Every round the hen clears gets a "Moo". Round 42 is the last; clear it and the cow, the hen and a radioactive fox dance round a campfire to an original tune.
Most players are children, so a Parents setting on the title card sets a daily play allowance, from 10 minutes to 2 hours or no limit. Only time spent playing counts, it is kept per day in the browser, and when it runs out the characters say goodnight and sing a short lullaby. Scores are kept in the browser only.
Controls: arrow keys or A / D to move, Space to throw an egg, P or Esc to pause, M for sound.
