Why it exists

Spoilsport is a group chat for friends watching the same series at different speeds. Every message is stamped with where the sender is in the show (episode and minute). If a message comes from further ahead than you, it stays blurred until you catch up. Scrub your timeline forward and those messages unlock live.

Each member's avatar sits on a shared episode timeline, typing indicators show where the typist is in the show, and invite links drop friends straight into a room.

Built for the #ZeroToChat challenge with Claude Code and the CometChat MCP.

Interesting premise for group watch parties. One accessibility question: how does the hidden-message system work for screen reader users, since visual blurring or greying out often doesn't translate to non-visual interfaces? Does it fully suppress the content from the accessibility tree until unlocked, or just visually obscure it, leaving spoilers readable by assistive tech? Worth testing with VoiceOver or NVDA before launch.
