Why it exists

SayIt is a voice input method for Windows: press a hotkey, talk, press again, and the AI-polished text types itself in at your cursor, in whatever application you are using.

Built in Rust with Tauri and open-sourced as an alternative to paid tools, it offers local, cloud-API and self-hosted server modes so the prompt and your data stay under your control.

One question worth testing: how does it handle background noise or overlapping speech when picking up dictation mid-sentence, and does the AI polishing preserve technical terms or code snippets without paraphrasing them? Also curious about latency between releasing the hotkey and text appearing in a slow-loading app like a browser text field versus a native editor.
