Tower of Time
A tower-defence game with a time-rewind mechanic: when enemies overwhelm you, roll back time to rebuild your strategy.

Tower of Time is a tower-defence game built for the Beginner's Jam Summer 2025. It combines strategic building with time manipulation: when enemies overwhelm your defences, use your time-travel power to rewind and rebuild. It features multiple tower types, energy management and wave-based spawning. Around 95% of the codebase was written by AI using Augment Code, Cursor and Claude Sonnet 4, as a proof of concept for AI-assisted game development.

Been messing about with this over a few evenings. The rewind mechanic is the whole appeal for me, no more restarting a level from scratch after one dodgy tower placement in wave twelve. Only gripe is spamming rewind can feel like it removes the sting of bad decisions entirely, so difficulty spikes get flattened out a bit. Still, solid fun for tea-break sessions.
