Why it exists

GPX Toolbox loads GPS tracks straight in the browser and lets you merge several into one, trim them by dragging on the elevation chart, simplify to cut point count, and export clean GPX.

Tracks render as coloured lines on an OpenStreetMap view with an elevation profile beneath. Nothing is uploaded; it all runs on your machine. A small, honest utility for hikers and cyclists.

Useful scope for a browser-based tool, but GPX files vary a lot in quality (missing elevation data, duplicate points, inconsistent timestamps from different GPS devices). What happens when a track has gaps or malformed points during simplify or merge, does it fail gracefully or silently drop data? Worth testing with a messy real-world file, not just a clean export.
