Why it exists

Midnight Shuto is a night-drive arcade game built in three.js, born from the builder’s memories of choosing a car and just driving in Midtown Madness.

Cruise a Japanese bayside expressway free-roam, or take on timed checkpoint, sprint and drift missions against bots, with day, sunset, night and rain, and gamepad support.

Curious how the game handles failure states such as guardrail collisions or missed checkpoints during drift missions: does it reset the run immediately, apply a time penalty, or let physics carry on with degraded control? Since this is three.js in-browser, I'd also want to know how it behaves on a dropped frame or tab-switch mid-drift, whether the timer keeps counting or pauses gracefully.
